Here at 137 The Dental Practice we have over 20 years of combined experience in the provision of cosmetic dentistry.

At your initial consultation, we will do a thorough examination and discuss the options available.

Benefits, risks and costs will be provided in writing in an individual treatment plan.
Tooth Whitening
Tooth whitening is the simple way of improving the appearance of your  teeth.
We offer both in-surgery and home whitening systems which have been used at the practice for over 10 years and provide a safe and effective way of whitening your teeth.

We carry out a thorough examination to check that your teeth are suitable for whitening and that your restorations are sound.

A mould is taken of your teeth and custom fit whitening trays are available a few days later. The trays are typically used for 5 to 10 nights and can be re-used occasionally to refresh the appearance (typically once or twice a year).
Children’s Dentistry and Ozone Treatment
We provide both NHS and private care for children

Six monthly examinations are recommended to acclimatise children to coming to the dental surgery and hopefully make them lifelong, relaxed dental patients. We also check for tooth decay and monitor the eruption of teeth in case orthodontic intervention is needed.

We strongly believe in preventive dentistry which includes advice on cleaning, dietary advice and coatings on teeth called fissure sealants.  We also offer ozone treatment which helps kill the bacteria responsible for causing tooth decay. IT is especially effective in early decay lesions and is used in conjunction with conventional techniques such as fluoride varnishes and fissure sealants.

  • Final results are predictable and easy to control
  • Six Month Smiles Patient Tray Kits ensure your appointments are fast and comfortable Low forces and short overall orthodontic treatment times increase comfort, safety, and hygiene.
Inman Alligner - Straight Teeth. Fast.
The Inman Aligner is the perfect solution for crowding or protrusion of the front teeth. It is really fast, very safe and great value. With the patented Inman Aligner, your front teeth can be gently guided to an ideal position in a matter of weeks. Most cases complete in 6-18 weeks and because it's removable you can take it out to fit with your lifestyle.

What is an Inman Aligner?
The Inman Aligner is a simple removable appliance used to align front teeth quickly and safely. It's ideal as a stand alone treatment or to prealign teeth prior to further cosmetic options such as bonding or minimal veneers.

How does it work?
The Inman Aligner has Nickel Titanium coil springs that power two aligner bows that gently oppose each other, guiding the teeth into their new position. These gentle forces are active over a very large range of movement, which is why the Inman Aligner works so quickly.

The image below shows the squeeze effect of the two aligner bows on the front teeth. The inner bow pushes forwards, while the outer bow pulls back on the front teeth.

How long is the treatment with the Inman Aligner?
Most cases are completed within 6-18 weeks. Your dentist will give you a realistic guide of what to expect.

What's involved in Treatment with the Inman Aligner?
Impressions are needed so that the lab can fabricate your custom made Inman Aligner. Initial fitting of the Aligner.

Wear the Aligner 16-20 hours a day

Regular Inman checks every 2-3 weeks.

As with other orthodontic treatment, after treatment is completed with the Inman Aligner, retention is recommended for life to prevent relapse. Retention can come in the form of a lingually bonded retainer or an Essix retainer.
